Cisticola Tours was definitely the right choice for us.
John was an incredibly skilled birding guide; reliable, professional, easy to get along with; very patient with us and a natural teacher.
Transportation during the tour felt very safe and comfortable. The tour handled lodging and meals for us seemlessly.
I will be recommending this tour to any of my friends and family considering an East Africa trip.
Kenya is lucky to have over 1000 bird species (endemic, migratory, etc), so our 279 species over 6 days may seem small but to put it into perspective this was far more successful than any of my guided trips in Central America. John not only helped us spot birds we wouldn’t have seen or found on our own, but he also helped us identify them and get to recognize them on our own.
