VACANT POSITION: PROFESSIONAL BIRDING DRIVER-GUIDE, KENYA

Cisticola Tours is offering a fantastic opportunity to an individual who has commendable Tour Guiding and Leadership skills, as well as significant experience in driving 4×4 safari vehicles, to join our team. In addition, the applicant must have significant skills in birding and nature interpretation as a whole. The candidate should be willing to be away in the field for many days at a time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must have a Diploma or Certificate (or higher academic qualifications) in Tour Guiding, Wildlife Management and Conservation (or related fields) from a recognized institution.
  2. Must be a paid up member of the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association – KPSGA (Bronze Level or higher).
  3. Must possess a valid Tourism License from the Tourism Regulatory Authority – TRA.
  4. Must have a valid NTSA Tour Driver-Guide Driving License/ badge and a valid PSV License.
  5. Must have a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenyan Government.
  6. Must have an excellent command of the English language – both spoken and written.
  7. Must have significant experience in driving 4×4 vehicles.
  8. Ability to avail yourself for work in Nairobi or farther in the field as required.
  9. Must possess significant knowledge on flora, fauna, geology, local history and pre-history of Kenyan tour routes.
